Tooth Fillings

Example of tooth filling that matches the color of the tooth. Most people will experience having a cavity at some point in their lifetime. If you have ever needed a filling, you understand that you want to treat the cavity when it is as small as possible. This prevents the need to have something like a root canal or a crown later on. What you may not have considered though, is how the material of the filling can also minimize the impact of the treatment on your tooth.

In the majority of cases, Dr. Aiello uses tooth colored composite restorations, also known as white dental fillings. The white teeth fillings are color matched and look natural against your tooth, and they also require less tooth preparation than traditional amalgam fillings. Tooth-colored fillings preserve the most tooth structure possible. Rather than being wedged into the tooth, the white filling actually bonds with it.
